The Software Engineer – Backend, will be part of a small agile team of engineers with ownership of features of the platforms we are developing. The team the role is part of is responsible for developing & maintaining new features for our platforms, build micro services to power frontends and other services.

The team focuses on modularity and ensures that constraints to delivering world class services are addressed efficiently, especially in the context of delivering health outcomes. Apart from role specific skills, strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams is essential for this role.

· Develop features for our social care network and care provider marketplace on a small agile team of engineers.

Requirements

· Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. post graduate preferred

· 5+ years of experience in delivering high-quality software solutions, preferably in a product focused startup environment

· Experience using MVC framework., Code igniter 4

· Strong engineering and technology background with the ability to learn quickly and go deep into our product and engineering solutions.

· Several years’ demonstrable experience in a functional and object-oriented programming language

· Strong preference for candidates with proficiency in Ajax, and Jquery, Json

· Good Knowledge of Open cart, Laravel, OS Commerce, WordPress

· Good object-oriented and database programming skills.

· Command of programming languages especially PHP, javascript.

· Also good knowledge of HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3

· Experience with service-oriented and event-driven architectures, APIs, SQL and NoSQL.

· Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and applying them throughout the full development lifecycle.

· Emotional maturity

· Experience in enterprise SaaS. Healthcare IT

· Complete understanding of MVC framework & service-oriented architecture (SoA)

· Experience building microservices and/or SPAs using modern technologies

· Experience with designing applications for the cloud, additional preference for Amazon Web Services (AWS)
